This past weekend at a town hall in Carson City, Nevada, a Navy veteran with stage-4 Huntington’s disease told Bernie he was struggling not just to take care of himself physically, but also with the $130,000 worth of medical bills he’s racked up.

He said he was thinking of ending his own life.

You may have seen the video… it got a lot of attention.

After the meeting, Bernie and Jane met with the man. They listened to more of his story.

This happens often — people telling Bernie about the issues that impact their lives most. That’s what presidential campaigns are about.

We ALL have issues that matter to us — some that impact us in deeply personal ways. And while Bernie can’t meet with every single supporter, we can try to get a sense of the ones that matter to you. So we are asking:

Take our short survey: tell us about the issues in this campaign that matter most to you. Whether they impact your life directly today, or just issues you are passionate about, Bernie wants to hear from you.

The reason our campaign is doing so well is because we are speaking honestly and directly about the issues impacting the working people in this country.

But that has to start with hearing directly from people like you. So thank you for taking our short issues survey.

We’ll pull the feedback we receive together and get it over to Bernie this week.

All my best,

Faiz Shakir
Campaign Manager
