Covid-19 has shown how unfair and undemocratic our economy is. The government has used billions to bail out corporations, banks and polluters, while thousands of people have lost their jobs and been forced to use food banks. At the same time, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak is denying the truth about how public spending really works. [1]
In this context, Positive Money’s work has never been more important. We need to keep exposing the truth and push ideas which truly make our system much fairer.
Throughout the autumn, we’ve been running evaluations and brainstorms with our staff team, board of directors and new economy experts. Now we need to hear from supporters like you to make sure that together, we’re making the right choices for Positive Money in the next ten years.
In January, over 1000 supporters did our survey and helped Positive Money have some huge breakthroughs this year (getting big commitments from the Bank of England to go green is just one example!). It's proof that when we make decisions together, we get on the right track.
