This election, young people, Black and brown people, immigrant youth showed up and showed out. This victory does not mean that the work is over, undocumented communities are currently suffering due to COVID-19, unemployment and for being left out of COVID financial relief. And while the Trump Administration is on its way out - we must not lower our guard.
The defeat of Trump has brought opportunities to reverse some of his anti-immigrant policies, but we also know that many states will double down on their efforts to attack our immigrant communities. That is why on Friday, November 13th at 7PM, we will be hosting a webinar on “Local Advocacy During COVID-19”. We will celebrate our victories, provide an overview of the basics of state/local governments, share successful stories and examples of first hand experiences of leading a local campaign.

This webinar series will address how we can continue organizing at the state and local level in order to consolidate future local victories for our communities, while we build the power at the national level to protect the well being of immigrant families.
Organizing at the local level has an impact at the national level. Defeating the Trump Administration was a great victory, but YOU can achieve more victories in your local community.
So bring your friends from your local community on board! And let’s get ready to have more WINS in our communities.
