I’ve spent a lot of time on the road in Virginia lately campaigning for our General Assembly candidates, and one thing is clear to me everywhere I go: Virginians know our upcoming elections are special.
They also know a few other things:

Virginians know that America is watching the Commonwealth, and what we do in November could lay the groundwork for huge Democratic victories in 2020.

They know that we have the opportunity to elect a blue General Assembly in Virginia for the first time in over twenty years.

And most of all, they know that we’re ready to see change happen across Virginia.
That's why I've been out there working to make sure we flip the General Assembly blue this November and then keep Virginia blue in 2020. And it's why I'm partnering with the Virginia House and Senate Caucuses today.

Both caucuses are just TWO SEATS away from retaking the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. They’ve recruited a record-breaking number of fantastic candidates for this cycle and built strong grassroots support in all corners of the Commonwealth.
I'm telling you, the momentum and enthusiasm across Virginia is real, and I believe we are incredibly close to flipping the General Assembly. And when we’ve done that, I’m going to keep working with all I've got to hold Virginia’s Senate seat and make sure we beat Donald Trump in 2020.
