Dear friend ,

I think it's clear we struck a nerve.

Last week we released a video called anti-Christ politics vs. the politics of Jesus
[link removed]

So far more than 175,000 of you have watched the video, shared it, or reached out with a comment.

At this time of crisis in our nation, there's a reason this message is rising up. It's because of what we see in our culture, our government, and even in our churches. Fear of the other, hatred of the other, and violence against the other are the core of anti-Christ politics.

But what about the politics of Jesus?

I wrote my new book, Christ in Crisis: Why We Need to Reclaim Jesus, as a guide on this question, and so many other important questions we now face.

What would Jesus say to a politics that tells us to hate our neighbors rather than love them?

When anti-Christ politics tells us, "Be afraid," what does Jesus have to say about fear?

In anti-Christ politics the "least of these" are the least important. How would Jesus respond?

These are just a few timeless and provocative questions that cut to the very heart of what it means to follow Jesus today. It's my hope that this book can be both a light and a refuge as you navigate these questions-a spiritual survival guide for following Christ
in the Trump era.

Because one thing is clear.

In the midst of our crisis, we have to find a way to reclaim Jesus.

In Christ,

Jim Wallis
