• LA incarcerates more people than almost any country in the world.
• The LAPD kills more people per year than almost any country in the world. ⁣

It’s only been 6 days since George won his race, but he’s already leading a MAJOR transformation of the face of justice in Los Angeles:

• Earlier this week, Gascón met with Black Lives Matters organizers along with families of people who died after interactions with law enforcement in LA County. This is a major shift. The Black Lives Matter movement had a tumultuous relationship with the DA Jackie Lacey, who often ignored demands to address police brutality.
• George announced he’d immediately stop seeking the death penalty in LA County.
• George pledged to immediately stop prosecuting children as adults.
• And he’s just getting started.
