Just this month, CNN dedicated seven hours of live TV to an in-depth conversation on the climate crisis with several Democratic candidates. During the climate town hall, the Green New Deal came up a number of times.
There still has been no movement on the DNC’s decision not to hold a climate debate, but the town hall this month is a major step in the right direction. Before 2016, there have been no questions on the topic of climate change -- and if you remember, that one question was Ken Bone’s question on energy.
At Progressive Majority PAC, we believe we must take bold action on the climate crisis -- that’s why we’re invested in defending and expanding our House majority so we can pass legislation like the Green New Deal.
