This challenging year has shown the importance of the work we do here at the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT). Our issues have mattered as never before: people around the world are turning to technology to work remotely and go to school, mis- and disinformation are distorting public discourse about public health and the election, and nationwide protests against racial injustice have raised new awareness about the surveillance of marginalized communities. We've pivoted quickly to respond to new challenges, while remaining steadfast in our commitment to protecting consumer privacy and addressing data-driven discrimination, defending election integrity, advocating for speech protections online, and limiting the use of government surveillance. In this rapidly changing landscape, there's a lot of work to do. 

On Tuesday, December 1, millions of people across the world will come together to support organizations and causes they care about. Known as #GivingTuesday, this day of philanthropy follows Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday — and perhaps best represents the spirit of the holiday season. This #GivingTuesday, I hope you will consider making a donation to CDT ([link removed]).
