Greenpeace Africa Presents U.S-Kenya Plastics Petition Over 20,000 people have come together to oppose the export of more plastic waste to Kenya. After months of pressure, Hon. Betty Maina, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industrialisation, Trade and Enterprise Development received the petition calling for her to take a stand against advocacy from lobbyists from the American Chemistry Council to make Africa a dumping site. The program runs January - June, 2021, and participants will engage in a series of virtual short courses, team-based research, and a final two-day challenge to pitch solutions.
