The past week has shown us what we've known all along: Republicans are so obviously terrified of the progressive movement that all of us worked so hard to build together. And they're even more terrified that our power keeps growing.
Just yesterday night, Karl Rove was on Fox News, warning viewers of Jamaal and other progressive, first-term members of Congress — including Cori Bush and Mondaire Jones — of being "really far out there." He even mentioned Jamaal's plans to shift funding away from police departments, jails, and prisons.
The thing is, John, Karl is almost right. But the reality is that our progressive ideas are winning, and they aren't that "far out" at all.
Remember, all 112 Medicare for All co-sponsors — including those in key swing districts — won their seats, and all but one 98 Green New Deal co-sponsors won their seats. Our ideas aren't too bold or too "out there" — they're what a vast majority of Americans want, even if they go against the status quo.
