As Americans across the country started to see Georgia shift blue for the first time since 1992, Stacey Abrams highlighted the role of changemakers: “My heart is full. Georgia, let's shout out those who've been in the trenches and deserve the plaudits for change.”
While ballots were being counted, Abrams made sure to reassure voters that “local election officials are working to ensure every eligible vote is counted” and remind us that “we knew this would occur and we are prepared.”
And they were. After massive voter suppression in Georgia during the 2018 elections, Stacey Abrams stepped to the political forefront to protect every vote across the state with her project Fair Fight. And while Trump tried to "crown himself the winner," Stacey Abrams and her team continued to fight to ensure every vote would be counted.
