Hi Friend,

Welcome to our bi-weekly newsletter communication about GLAAD's
programs and activities that your investments make possible.

On Saturday, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were named the
President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States and we
proudly joined worldwide celebrations after the historic victory for
equality. GLAAD has been dedicated to LGBTQ voter education throughout
election season because we knew that LGBTQ people and our allies could
make a real difference in this election.

"The results of this presidential election affirm that every
vote and every voter counts," GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate
Ellis said. "LGBTQ people and all marginalized Americans came
together to make this victory possible, and now the journey to safety,
equality and acceptance can continue forward."

the House. Sarah McBride's historic win as the state senator for
Delaware's first district makes her the highest ranking out
transgender lawmaker in the nation. And several winning LGBTQ
candidates were previously trained by the GLAAD Media Institute,
learning about LGBTQ issues and how to best message LGBTQ topics to
the general public.
