Dear Friend of Israel,

One year ago, today, 80 AIPAC leaders and I were in Israel when Palestinian terrorists in Gaza launched over 450 rockets at Israeli cities and towns.
 

Our group returned home safe. But not before witnessing firsthand the reality Israelis are forced to confront far too often – and the life-saving impact of the work of AIPAC supporters like you.

One morning, while we were on a rooftop outside of Jerusalem for a briefing, we saw white plumes of white smoke in the distance. 

What we had witnessed was Iron Dome in action – intercepting an incoming rocket over Israel’s skies.

Over the course of last November’s attacks, Iron Dome wound up intercepting over 90 percent of the rockets headed toward Israeli population centers, saving countless Israeli and Palestinian lives. 

Rockets that could have crashed into Israeli homes, hospitals and schools were shot down thanks to this remarkable, life-saving defense system.

Your support enables AIPAC to work with Congress each year to ensure Israel receives critical funding for Iron Dome.

But Israel’s enemies are growing in strength. And even though rockets are not dominating headlines today, terrorist groups continue to mount attacks.

Rockets were fired at Israel’s citizens as recently as last month, and this year, terrorists in Gaza have launched more than 650 balloons and other incendiary devices, burning nearly 1,400 acres.

So today, I ask that you stand with AIPAC.
