John, I just got off the stage at our biggest ever Liberal Democrat conference.

We’ve had more new members join us than any other time in our party’s history - and you could feel it.

Even if you couldn’t join us, I wanted to share the speech I gave, setting out my vision for the country.

I want to build a country where every single person is valued and included.

Where we’ve stopped Brexit, so we can focus on building an economy that works for everyone, on saving our NHS, on giving our children the best start in life, on saving the planet.

Where we’ve turned back the tide on nationalism and populism, and where Britain is once again a collaborative, open and generous nation.

And John, only a Liberal Democrat government can deliver that vision.

At the next general election, you will choose the kind of country we want to be.
