Are you a network of people or organizations using media for liberation? Does your network need a home in which to grow? If so, come and gather at the 21st Allied Media Conference in Detroit! 

Our journey through the Year in Chrysalis led us to re-evaluate the many content structures of the AMC. While we will no longer be offering Tracks and Practice Spaces, we have kept Network Gatherings because they facilitate the kind of movement-building that we urgently need: A multitude of decentralized, strategically interconnected, and deeply woven networks. They balance the wild, open togetherness of the larger conference with separate spaces based on shared issues and identities where deeper diving can happen.

What is a Network Gathering?

Network Gatherings are one or two-day mini-conferences convened by a local or national network during the AMC. They provide focused space for planning, skill-sharing, and community-building for networks of people who are already organizing together around an issue or shared identity.

AMC is hiring a Co-Director!  

The Allied Media Conference is excited to expand its leadership team as it re-emerges from a year-long Chrysalis process.

The AMC Co-Director will work alongside the current AMC Director, Nadine Marshall, to support the production of the biennial AMC in Detroit, while leading the research and design of the new “AMSeeds.” Read more about the AMC’s new post-Chrysalis shape here.
 

Together, the co-directors will create sustainable processes and structures that will inform upcoming and future AMP convenings.

The AMC is looking for ...

A Co-Director committed to working towards a more just and creative world who has appreciation for the power of stories, culture, and ideas, to shape reality. They must have a passion and talent for well-executed, collaborative event production, with the ability to hold big visions and fine-grained details at the same time. They must be a phenomenal collaborator, listener and media-based organizer.
