Friend,
My life began in Savannah, Georgia where I grew up in Kayton Homes public housing with 11 brothers and sisters. I know, you might not think of a kid from the projects as the likeliest candidate to go to Morehouse College and become senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s spiritual home - but with hard work and support, that's exactly what I did.
Now, I'm running for Senate because the opportunities that made my American dream possible are increasingly out of reach for people in Georgia and across this nation. I'm running because I happen to think an America where we care for one another by providing affordable health care and dignified wages is better than an America where we say everyone is on their own.
And I'm running to restore moral leadership to our government. Our campaign got this far with the help of grassroots supporters like you, and we'll only win if we represent your interests. So please: Will you take a moment to share what's on your mind with me?

Some might ask why a pastor thinks he should serve in the Senate. I say this: While my opponent is a former Wall Street executive who has cashed in on her public office and is dedicated to making herself and her special interest friends richer, I've devoted my whole life to service - to fighting for an America where no one is left behind.
So, while the GOP is determined to cut health care and cynically divide us on the basis of race and religion, I plan to bring the spirit of service to Washington where I'll govern for all Georgians, not just those at the top. And that's why this race couldn't be more important.
We may have defeated Trumpism at the top of the ticket, but this runoff election is Democrats' LAST stand to end Trumpism in Congress and retake Senate control. I believe what makes America so great is that we've always had a path to make it greater - and right now, this Senate race is that path.
And I think Georgia is ready, friend - ready to close the door on divisive politics and begin the hard work to put money in people's pockets, put food on their tables and create a brighter future for us and our children. But with everything from health care to our civil rights at stake, I'm counting on you to share what means the most to you right now so we can fight and win in January.
Take this survey now to help us set our runoff strategy, flip Georgia blue and take back the Senate in less than eight weeks.
