John,
I hope you saw Diane Regas’ email about how the 2020 election results give us a clear path forward for working together for our nation’s parks and public lands.
Thanks to your support, you helped us prove that despite political divides, Americans overwhelmingly support parks and public lands.
Voters approved all of the 26 measures supported by The Trust for Public Land and The Trust for Public Land Action Fund on Election Day, and often by large margins. From California to Texas, from Michigan to Florida — communities approved almost $3 billion in public funding for parks, trails, wildlife, farmland, clean water, and open spaces to make their communities healthier, more equitable, and more resilient.
These results have inspired one of our generous supporters to step forward with an offer to double every gift to The Trust for Public Land between now and December 31.
When you join us with a gift to The Trust for Public Land today, your support will go twice as far to build on this glimmer of unity to create even more parks and protect even more public lands for people.
Together, we will work twice as hard to bring people together to preserve our special places for future generations and create new ones to meet the need — and right — of all Americans to live close to a quality park.
We will strive twice as much to reclaim public lands as sacred spaces where reckless development is forbidden. We will make twice the difference to repair parks and national monuments that have been allowed to fall into disrepair, and we will stand twice as firm to restore the vision that has always inspired our country and communities to set aside land for people, not for profit.
But we won’t get very far without the help of friends like you who we rely on to make all our successes possible. Thank you for making a gift of unity to The Trust for Public Land today, when it will be doubled.
Sincerely,
Alana Fink
