President-elect Joe Biden has declared that "This is the time to heal in America."

But CNN has reported that "Biden will immediately have to confront the reality ... a wall of GOP opposition led by a shrewd Senate leader who has long preached party unity in the face of his Democratic adversaries."

Friend, our president-elect is going to do as much as he can to heal our country no matter how the GOP tries to stop him. Biden has plans to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement, rejoin the World Health Organization, repeal Trump's Muslim ban, and reinstate DACA -- all with executive power, all without needing Mitch McConnell's permission.

But according to The Washington Post, "pushing major legislation through Congress could prove to be a challenge," and "A Republican-held Senate -- or even one with a narrow Democratic majority -- probably will affect Biden's Cabinet picks given the Senate's power to confirm nominees."

There you have it. Democrats may not only be denied every piece of legislation we want passed, but the GOP could even block Biden from getting his Cabinet picks confirmed.

We know you're ready to turn the page just like we are. Biden won, Trump lost. Now we're supposed to be able to do something with that victory -- to push for our progessive policies, just like Trump spent the last four years pushing his horrific agenda. But without your support, we could see McConnell and his allies foil our victory and stop our chance to turn things around.
