This Veterans Day, please join me in recognizing and thanking my fellow veterans for the many sacrifices they make to protect our freedoms and defend our great nation.
I am honored to continue to fight for the benefits our servicemembers and veterans deserve, including increasing access to VA healthcare and affordable housing, and was proud to coauthor the Gold Star Families Support and Installation Access Act to ensure Gold Star qualified families can receive grief counseling, visit a grave site of their loved ones, and attend a memorial service or access military commissaries on military bases.
There is no greater sacrifice than serving one’s country and our nation would not be the same without the dedication and service of these brave men and women. Thank you for taking a moment today to recognize and thank them.
