Friend,
Last weekend when we learned that Joe Biden would become our next president, cities and towns across America erupted with celebrations. Here in New York, streets were filled with people dancing, singing, and cheering. The past four years have been a dark, troubling experience for so many Americans, and I am so proud of the work we did to overcome and defeat Donald Trump. We deserve to celebrate that. But the fight still isn't over.
Now, I'm ready to get back to work. While this past weekend’s news is cause for celebration, it is also an opportunity to regroup and organize for the work that lies ahead.
From COVID-19 recovery to Medicare for All to ensuring everyone has a safe place to live, there's still so much work to do to ensure our government works for everyone. Now is our chance to push for bold, progressive policies that meet the needs of the American people.
We face daunting challenges, but I am confident that we can accomplish big things when we come together and take on tough issues. Will you stand with me and take on this fight?
Best,
Nydia
