NPH would like to acknowledge that it has been a nail-biting election cycle, with delays in reported results due to historical voter turnout as well as our officials ensuring that every single vote is counted.

NPH is closely following the final tabulation of votes for local homeless and affordable housing revenue measures including Alameda County Measure W and Sonoma County Measure O. These measures along with the City of San Mateo Measure Y are too close to call. Unfortunately, it appears that statewide Proposition 15 (Schools and Communities First) is unlikely to pass and statewide Proposition 16(repeal Prop 209 to reinstate affirmative action) will fall short of the majorities needed to pass. We applaud the partners and advocates working on these two campaigns and acknowledge their dedication to advancing housing, economic, and racial justice. NPH will continue to advocate for true equity and inclusion through our legislative agenda, campaign priorities, and activism.

NPH would like to congratulate all members who participated in NPH Advocacy & Voter Engagement efforts leading up to the 2020 election. We want to keep the momentum going. Please fill out a brief survey letting us know what advocacy & voter engagement programming you most enjoyed and what you would like to see us continue to do!
