It’s Citizenship Day, a day meant to celebrate one of the hallmarks of our history as a nation – immigration.

From Ellis Island to the Southern Border – America has always welcomed immigrants from around the world. But to maintain our sovereignty and security, that process must always be orderly and lawful.

Today we have a crisis at our Southern Border, with migrant caravans pouring in faster than our Border Patrol can process, and it is high time we give the men and women who are charged with protecting our border the tools and resources they need to do their jobs. It is time to build the wall and secure America now.

Democrats have tried to paint Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans as “evil” or “unreasonable” for wanting secure borders – but that is absurd. As a nation of laws, it is our responsibility to protect our country so that we can continue to be the strong and benevolent nation that we have always been.
