Friend, happy Veterans Day.

Today, we celebrate the brave men and women who risked everything to serve their country.

Because of their sacrifices, we have the privilege of living in a prosperous, free, and democratic nation.

I’ll never stop fighting for our veterans in Congress. I’m dedicated to connecting veterans with VA services, ensuring they’re getting the benefits they deserve, and continuing to seek recommendations from my Veterans Advisory Council -- a group of veterans from Southeast Michigan that I convened shortly after taking office.

Let us take a moment today to appreciate our veterans and say our thanks directly if we have the opportunity.

We are stronger together -- and no one embodies that better than our veterans.
