John,

As I look at the work ahead of us today, I am reflecting on what it means to serve the people of our country.

Our veterans embody the definition of public service -- and as the daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, and friend of veterans, I am inspired by their bravery and commitment to our country's future.

In Congress, I know that one way we can truly recognize the struggle and sacrifice of our veterans is to make sure they -- and their families -- have the resources, tools, and support they need to live the dignified, post-enlistment life they deserve. I am committed to ensuring our veterans are supported, and I will continue fighting for them.

If you have served our nation, thank you. And if your loved one has served, please let them know how truly grateful I am for them, today and always.

Happy Veterans Day.

Yours,
Mary Gay
