John,

This Veterans Day, we honor those that have served and those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this nation and peace around the world. To all my fellow veterans, I thank you for your service and to all those still serving, give ‘em hell.

I’m proud to represent a district that includes the world’s largest Navy base and one of the largest communities of veterans and armed service members in the country -- and I promise I will never stop fighting to make sure that the heroes who put everything on the line to defend our values get the benefits they deserve.

In Congress, I’ve worked across party lines to put more money in the pockets of our veterans, secure a pay raise for our troops, and pushed for better childcare options for military families.

And in times like these, ensuring that veterans and military families have access to good jobs, quality healthcare and safe housing is more important than ever.

Our work is just beginning,
