John – As we hit the middle of this month, I’m checking in with a brief update. Our campaign has been busy collecting signatures for our petition, and spending time in the community hearing from folks. It’s one of my favorite aspects of campaigning. It’s certainly more fun that asking for money!

That being said, we’re right around two weeks from the Sept. 30 FEC filing deadline for this quarter, which means we have to take a look at where we are financially. People are watching to see how much we can raise, so hitting our goals by the end of this quarter is critical to the viability of our race.

I’m turning up every day for the people in IL-07 who can’t afford to wait another election cycle for things to improve. They need answers to their problems that seem insurmountable. And I refuse to let them down. But we need you with us.

So far, we’ve met about 60% of this month’s goal. Right now, we need to raise another $3,000 to stay on track and keep this campaign heading in the right direction.
