Last night Texas Governor Greg Abbott refused to acknowledge that President-elect Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election, repeating a dangerous conspiracy theory designed to undermine trust in our elections.

We need to push back, now, before he does more damage.

Joe Biden received more votes than any Presidential candidate in history, and has margins greater than 10,000 votes in states totaling 306 electoral votes.

Greg Abbott is repeating a desperate conspiracy theory started by Donald Trump to try to delegitimize that result.

Greg Abbott has fought harder than almost anyone to stop Americans from voting safely. Now that we have voted, he doesn’t want to acknowledge our votes because he got a result he didn’t like.

Joe Biden is the President-elect. Greg Abbott should be congratulating him and making a plan to work together to end the pandemic that has killed nearly 20,000 Texans - not repeating conspiracy theories.
