Protect health care by supporting the fight for fair maps ยป [link removed]
Friend -- The Supreme Court heard oral argument today in an outrageous case concerning the Affordable Care Act. The Court's decision could strike down the ACA in its entirety -- causing more than 20 million people to lose health insurance and countless others with pre-existing conditions to lose protections.
The Supreme Court may decide the future of the ACA. But we have the power to decide the future of health care.
We've fought back against attacks on the ACA for a decade -- from congresspeople who hail from gerrymandered districts and sometimes from Republican-gerrymandered legislatures. If our grassroots movement wants to protect and expand access to quality, affordable health care in the coming years, we need to fight for fair maps.

If we end gerrymandering, our state legislatures will reflect the will of the people and be able to pass popular legislation that strengthens health care -- like expanding Medicaid and protecting people with pre-existing conditions.
On the 10th anniversary of passing the ACA, President Obama said, "if we don't take action to end gerrymandering now, we'll be dealing with another decade of obstruction" on issues like health care. He believes the success of the Affordable Care Act is a testament to the power of grassroots organizing and asked you to continue fighting for progress.
With the looming threat of a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, responsive and accountable elected officials -- who can't hide behind gerrymandered maps or manipulated majorities -- will be more important than ever. Help us ensure a decade of progress on issues like health care by supporting our grassroots efforts to secure fair maps during next year's redistricting process.
