Congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their decisive and inspiring victory. America's future under their leadership makes me extremely optimistic for our future.

The Biden-Harris administration will respect the rights of each and every American and restore integrity and empathy to our country.

I know Joe Biden will bring thoughtful and compassionate leadership to the White House. Vice President-elect Harris brings sorely needed qualification and integrity to the office. She will be the first woman -- and the first person of color -- to ever serve in her office, where she will reach millions of Americans who have been disparaged and even villainized by the Trump administration.

Again, congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for their hard-won victory. I know they will serve all Americans -- from those who voted for them to those who did not. This is America as it should be.
