Today, I stood with a coalition of Democratic state attorneys general to defend the Affordable Care Act in front of the Supreme Court.

Rather than defend the health care of millions of Americans, the Trump administration’s Department of Justice intervened on the side of Republican-led states that want to overturn the ACA.

If the legal challenge to Obamacare from Republican attorneys general is successful, hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians and millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions could lose access to affordable care in the middle of a pandemic.

I can’t wait for the Biden-Harris administration to begin. Until then, we can’t let the Trump administration win. For years, President Trump and Republicans have worked to sabotage the Affordable Care Act, putting 825,000 Washingtonians — many with pre-existing illnesses — at risk.

Repealing this law could be both the final offense of the Trump presidency and the first devastating decision from the conservative super-majority on the Supreme Court.

We can’t let them win. Stand with me now.

Now that President-elect Biden won a decisive victory over President Trump, it’s more important than ever to defend the Affordable Care Act and protect the health care of millions of Americans in the final months of the Trump administration.

Thank you.
Bob
