AFL-CIO

John,

When Labor Secretary Alex Acosta resigned, we hoped the Trump administration would look for a replacement who respects working people and fights for our interests. Unfortunately, we got Eugene Scalia instead.

From threatening to decimate workers’ retirement savings to opposing health care expansion, Scalia has a long track record of bashing workers. Take a look for yourself: We put together a résumé of all the years he’s spent making life worse for working families.

Promoting Eugene Scalia as a possible secretary of labor is an insult to working people. His extreme views are downright dangerous: He fought ergonomics standards and even called repetitive injuries “junk science.”

America deserves a real advocate for working people at the Department of Labor, not a fox in charge of the henhouse. Take a peek at his full résumé, and pass it along to everyone you know.

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO
