PEAK In Community
In this new section of the Monthly, we’ll share the latest news about our sector partnerships and how PEAK is advocating for more equitable grantmaking practices at conferences, convenings, and community conversations.
Over the past month, President and CEO Satonya Fair joined some key groups of PEAK community stakeholders for listening sessions – including chapter leaders, Black members, and our Board alumni.
At United Way Worldwide, Satonya presented on “Equitable Grantmaking Practices” as they seek to operationalize their new Equity Framework throughout their network.
At the Council of Michigan Foundation's annual conference, Satonya and Richerd Winton of The William Davidson Foundation spoke about “Operationalizing Equity,” delving into how grants management professionals are at the forefront of adaptive change and practice for our sector, and how our career journeys have landed us where we are today.
At Independent Sector’s Upswell conference, PEAK Programs and Knowledge Director Melissa Sines co-presented "Democratizing Demographic Data" with Carly Hare at CHANGE Philanthropy, Kelly Brown from Viewpoint Consulting, and Teleange Thomas and C. Davis Parchment from Candid.
