Take action to reunite millions of American families like mine.

Take action to reunite families like mine
torn apart by the Muslim Ban.

Hi Friend,

I’m writing to you from Lebanon, where my fiancé, Mashaal, lives and where I have been forced to travel back and forth to because of the Muslim Ban. I’m an American citizen, born and raised in Virginia, but my husband Mashaal is from Syria and President Trump banned him from entering the United States. Mashaal is one of the most amazing human beings my heart has ever come into contact with. The Muslim Ban has forced me to resign from my office as an optometrist, leave my family and my community back home so that Mashaal and I can be together.

If President-Elect Biden follows through on his commitment to end the Muslim Ban, I will finally be able to bring my fiancé home to the United States.

I’m not alone. There are millions of Americans just like me, with loved ones and close family who are banned simply because they are Muslim. We are all relying on that stroke of a pen to be reunited with our loved ones and take part in births, funerals and weddings once again. Everything rests on whether President-Elect Biden keeps his promise.

Will you join me in making sure that President-Elect Biden ends the Muslim Ban?

For nearly four years, the Muslim Ban has separated so many American families, prevented countless doctors from serving in the U.S. in the midst of a pandemic and made anti-Muslim bigotry a core tenet of our nation’s immigration policy.

No one should have to leave their job and their entire life to be with their family. But that’s exactly what I, and so many others like me, have had to do because of Trump’s Muslim Ban.

Sign if you agree: Joe Biden must fulfill his promise to end the Muslim Ban on day one.

I’m so grateful to Muslim Advocates for leading the effort to end this inhumane ban. We’re closer than ever to righting this wrong.

Sincerely,
Danah Harbi
