It's been awhile since we've held a general body meeting outside the context of an election campaign on the ground. And it's been quite an exciting twelve months!

Last year, we helped flip the U.S. House of Representatives and the New York State Senate blue. Results have been forthcoming: finally, one house of Congress is starting to hold Donald Trump accountable and a new generation of progressives in Albany are pushing the boudaries of what was once thought impossible. 

In 2019, we helped elect several local judges to the bench and our member Farah Louis to the City Council.

It's about time we come together to decide what's next. 

Please join us on Thursday September 26th for a general body meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow members. network, and learn of new opportunities to advance progressive causes locally.

The meeting will be held at 733 Lounge in Ditmas Park, located at 773 Coney Island Avenue. The meeting will run from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM.

In addition to BYD business, we will hear presentations from Common Cause on ranked-choice voting and StreetsPAC on the work they are doing to ensure street and sidewalk safety in the city.
