Young people are leading the fight against climate change.
Generation Progress

Hey John

This Friday, September 20, we're joining a coalition of activists, organizations, and student strikers to bring tens of thousands of people from across the country into the streets and show our elected leaders that we demand meaningful action on climate change.

For the past year, young people around the world have received well-deserved media attention for leading the way in the fight against climate change, by walking out of class and demanding accountability from our elected officials. Now, young leaders of the movement are calling on people of all ages to join them in the streets on September 20 as part of a Global Climate Strike. Find a strike near you and spread the word: take action on September 20 and beyond.

Our climate is on the brink of collapse. With just 11 years left to implement sweeping changes and prevent total climate collapse, we have to work together to take back power from the greedy billionaires and politicians responsible for this crisis. We know what the solutions to this crisis are, and we have the means to implement them. All that's left is for all of us to work together to build political power and create the changes we need.

FIND YOUR STRIKE

One day of striking won't solve everything, but it will show those in power that we refuse to stand by in the face of climate crisis. And if we show up in masses and are loud enough, it will be the spark that helps turn the tide.

In solidarity,
