Friend: In a moment, I'm going to ask you to become a Founding Donor of our runoff campaign to flip Georgia blue and take back the Senate. But first, let me explain why your support is so critical – and what could happen to the future of our democracy without it.
I never once imagined I'd run for U.S. Senate. You see, I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth – not even close. I had 11 brothers and sisters and grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia. But from there, I went on to earn a college degree and worked my way up to serving as the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church.
Now, I'm running to become Georgia's first-ever Black senator – because the opportunities that made my journey possible, from Kayton Homes to Dr. King's pulpit, are growing further and further out of reach for too many people across this country. We can change that by winning this race, but not without support from grassroots folks like you. That’s why I have to ask:
Please, friend, will you chip in $5 or more right now to become a Founding Donor of our runoff campaign so we can flip Georgia blue and take back the Senate for Democrats?
The stakes have never been higher, friend: Experts from CBS News to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight confirm that Senate control will be decided in Georgia – and that without a Democratic majority, President Biden will have NO chance to enact our bold, progressive agenda.
Winning in Georgia is Democrats' last and only shot at taking back the Senate. But with polls showing this race neck and neck, Mitch McConnell and the GOP are coming after me with everything they've got, and my extremist opponent is spending $23 million of her own fortune to buy this seat.
Please, friend, I need you now more than ever: With just 56 days left until the runoff, will you give $5 or more to become one of the 20,000 Founding Donors we need to defeat the GOP, win in Georgia and take back the Senate for Democrats?
Thank you,
Raphael Warnock
