Good morning!

In case you missed it, some of the national media are pulling back their (false) claims of Joe Biden’s “projected” win. President Trump is continuing to fight. Other Republicans should take notice and do likewise.

Here is today's Texas Minute.

Upfront: As a point of clarification, the 87th Session of the Texas Legislature will convene at 12 noon on January 12, 2021.

Republican Party of Texas Chairman Allen West is not standing idly by when it comes to the Texas House speaker race, calling front-runner State Rep. Dade Phelan a “political traitor” for courting support from liberal Democrats. Brandon Waltens has the details [[link removed]].

Phelan, a Republican from Beaumont, shot to front-runner status in the race after announcing he had bipartisan support from Republican and Democrat members of the legislature.

Chairman West described Phelan’s move as “idiotic” in his weekly email and made it clear the party would not support Phelan.

“It is utterly absurd and demonstrably idiotic that any Republican would join with Democrats to lead our Republican majority (83-67) Texas State House... the Republican Party of Texas will not support, nor accept, State Rep. Dade Phelan as Speaker of the Texas House. Texas does not need a Republican political traitor, not at a time when the two diverging philosophies of governance are this lucid.” – Allen West, chairman of the Republican Party of Texas State and local authorities have charged a social worker in a state-supported living center with 134 felony counts related to election fraud, reports Erin Anderson [[link removed]].

Kelly Reagan Brunner is accused of submitting voter registration applications for 67 residents of the Mexia State Supported Living Center, a home for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, without their signature or effective consent. Under Texas law, only a parent, spouse, or child who is a qualified voter of the county can act as an agent in registering a person to vote, and they must be appointed by the person to do so.

So, please, tell us more about how election fraud isn’t really a thing...? Better yet, tell the 134 people who nearly had their votes (allegedly) stolen by this government-paid stooge. In a new commentary, Warren Norred explains [[link removed]] what all Americans have to fear from a Biden-Harris Administration: namely, the overt weaponization of the criminal justice system.

“Kamala Harris put people in jail to bolster her stats when she knew of exonerating evidence,” writes Norred [[link removed]]. He adds, “Conservatives in every profession will be in the crosshairs.” Number of the Day

Today in History

Happy birthday to the United States Marine Corps! On Nov. 10, 1775, the Continental Congress adopted a resolution by John Adams creating “two Battalions of Marines” that would be attached to the newly formed Navy.

Quote-Unquote

“Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.”

– Ronald Reagan
