I’ve been on the road since we launched the campaign last week and the reception to our New Deal for People has been nothing short of spectacular.

And Jagmeet’s ability to connect with Canadians has been a beautiful thing to witness.

Every time someone meets him – it’s clear that they walk away feeling connected to him and to what we’re fighting for.

I know from experience how much a leader’s tour can energize a campaign. But we also have to be able to form these kinds of connections with people all across the country. And while I’ve got this tour under control – I need to know our team has the resources in place to take what we’re doing and get it out to Canadians. Canadians are ready for change – and we can make sure that people know they can have a government that will fight for them, not the interests of the mega rich and powerful.

But in order to do it, we need to make sure that we’re actually getting Jagmeet front and centre – in communities across the country, on the air, online, and in the news. Because the truth is – no one can speak to our vision for Canadians quite like he can.

It takes a lot of work to build a strong leader’s tour – and even more to build it into something big that resonates across the country.
