The leadership of your Republican Party of Arizona is pursuing every legal action available to make sure that all lawful votes that were cast in the 2020 election are properly counted, and that all unlawful votes that were cast are not. Today, Republican Party of Arizona Chairwoman Kelli Ward released the following statement on a lawsuit filed by the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee, of which the Republican Party of Arizona is a co-plaintiff, against Maricopa County for incorrectly rejecting votes cast in-person on Election Day: “This election is far from over,” said Chairwoman Ward. “The American people are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. We have received myriad of complaints from voters claiming poll workers did not properly operate the new voting machines in Maricopa County, and that they instructed voters to press a green button to override any errors if the machine didn't accept their ballot.” “As a result, voting machines disqualified votes cast by voters in-person on Election Day in Arizona's most populous county. We will not rest until the American people have the honest vote count they deserve and that our nation demands,” added Chairwoman Ward. The Arizona lawsuit asks for the manual inspection of overvoted ballots that were cast in-person, the same way that elections officials examined overvoted ballots that were mailed in or dropped off. The campaign has collected declarations from voters who witnessed the problem and alleges that the problem occurred on a large scale in Maricopa County. Voters can submit additional declarations at DontTouchTheGreenButton.com. Chairwoman Ward also made a special appearance this afternoon on Newsmax TV's live coverage of the 2020 election to give more details about the lawsuit, as well as explain the problem with networks and media outlets calling the race prematurely before all votes have been counted.
