What a weekend, John. I hope you
took some time to celebrate, recharge, and think about everything we did
together to defeat Donald Trump and elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Thanks to your work, Joe and Kamala will enter the White House having
earned the most votes of any presidential ticket in history. In fact,
we’re on track to have the second-largest popular vote margin this
century. Only Barack Obama in 2008 won the presidency by more votes.
But already, we're beginning to hear a lot of noise from the other side
about the need for "unity."
Republicans and some Democrats are making it clear, when they say “unity”,
they mean “don’t fight Republicans.” We should just be happy we won and
now, let’s fight only for the little things that Republicans might be
willing to give us. Not only has that strategy by Democrats never worked,
it’s also never in the history of our country been the way Republican
strategy has worked.
Republicans win and take no prisoners in the quest for their hate-filled
and bigoted agenda. But Democrats are supposed to just make sure we all
get along at the expense of delivering on what Americans actually voted
for: Change.
Real change that makes a difference in people’s lives.
After the race was called on Saturday, Yvette put it perfectly on ABC
News. Unity does not mean denying people a living wage, quality health
care, and education. We've organized for this victory, and it's time to
deliver on the promise of change we made to the American people.

than one million times online. Check it out here, and add your name to our
petition calling for a Democratic party that delivers the change we've
been fighting for >>

Our work is never just about one election, or one moment. It's about
bringing people together around the issues that matter to all of us: a
living wage, universal health care, education, and a government that puts
the people's interests first.
America is unified in victory and voted for change. Let’s make sure the
Democratic Party is unified in delivering on that promise.
