Hey Swing Left,

Last week, we took back the White House. Today, we’re jumping back into the fight to flip the Senate.

The Senate races in Alaska and North Carolina are undecided but looking tough for Democrats. That means our last chance to flip the Senate is winning both Georgia Senate runoffs. If Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock win, we will flip the Senate, create a unified government, and finally take away McConnell’s gavel.

This will be an unprecedented race. Control of the Senate depends on what we do between today and January 5th. We have less than two months to win both these critical elections, so we have to work fast and smart. The best thing we can do right now is give these candidates the funds they need to build up their campaigns and turn out voters.

Joe Biden is on the cusp of becoming the first Democrat to carry Georgia since 1992 thanks to the year-round work from community organizers in the state. We can win these two seats as well.​

Runoff elections are a sprint. Our candidates need to refocus their campaigns, reach back out to voters, and make sure we drive as much turnout as possible before January 5th. With two races happening simultaneously, it’s going to be even more important to fund voter outreach efforts and make sure voters know how to cast their ballots.

But we’re running against two of the wealthiest members of Congress so we need to work twice as hard to make up that fundraising gap. And we know Republicans are going to run every underhanded play they know to hold these seats and keep the Senate. If they succeed, McConnell will block every Biden initiative he can.

There will be more actions in the coming weeks but today, the most strategic thing we can do to start these runoffs strong is donating directly to the Ossoff and Warnock campaigns.
