John –
Over the past four years of the
Trump administration, you protested, donated, signed petitions,
volunteered and voted. Together our collective power helped to deliver
the election of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect
Kamala Harris, the first Black and South Asian woman to reach the
second highest office in the nation.
And while we may feel a sense of
collective relief, we know abortion care will still remain out of
reach for too many – and is threatened even more by the recent Supreme
Court appointment. Our fight for abortion access for all and
reproductive justice continues!
Women of color, especially Black
women, and young people showed up in record numbers – and now our
leaders need to show up for them. They must move quickly to implement
policies that prioritize our well-being and our lives. Tell the Biden Transition team to prioritize
access to abortion care and the economic security of people struggling
financially.

We are immediately urging
President-elect Biden to show bold leadership by eliminating the Hyde
Amendment and related abortion funding restrictions in his first
budget; raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hour; and including
low-wage, union and non-union workers in economic recovery
efforts.
We’re ready to work with the new
Administration, as well as lawmakers in the House and Senate, to
reimagine and build a future where each of us makes a living wage and can access the healthcare
we need, including abortion. Urge the Biden Transition team to prioritize these
actions in the first 100 days.
Thanks for taking
action,
Morgan Hopkins, Director of Political
Strategies All* Above All
