Last week, I told you about Reverend Raphael Warnock’s race to become Georgia’s very first Black U.S. Senator and flip this seat blue in January’s runoff election.

Now, we officially have TWO Senate runoffs taking place in Georgia: Democrat Jon Ossoff ended up in a virtual tie with his Republican opponent in the general election, so his race is advancing to a January runoff too.

Thanks to an outpouring of grassroots support, Jon had the resources to run an incredible campaign in Georgia this year and ended up winning more votes than any Georgia Democrat in state history.

Now, he wants to finish the job in January so he can spend the next six years expanding health care access and affordability for all Georgians, investing in small businesses and clean infrastructure, and fighting for working families.

We need Jon in the Senate if we’re going to take the gavel back from Mitch McConnell and start making progress for our communities, but we know that conservative Super PACs and dark money groups are preparing to pour a ton of money into this race to keep their Republican incumbent in power.
