Good Monday Morning,
Thank you for your patience while awaiting word from me. Last week was hectic and the transition from hopeful to resigned was grueling.
Although all of the updates since Wednesday have gone in our favor (we are now behind by just 6.2% and if the trend holds we will finish at about 5.5%), there is no miracle forthcoming. We fell short, and late last week I spoke to Mike and congratulated him on his likely re-election win.
So many of you have given so much to this campaign. Your time, personal effort, resources, and ongoing enthusiastic support. On behalf of our entire team I want to say thank you and God bless you.
The persistent good vibes and energy from all of our supporters reinforced me and our campaign team every day. I began to want a victory far more for all of you than for myself. It was a joyful burden.
I’m overdue for some SuperDad time so you may not hear from me by year-end, but I hope to connect personally with as many of you as I can in the coming weeks. You are more than welcome to reach out prior to my doing so at 760-500-1587.
Rest assured that after some rest and re-charging, we will begin to build on this loss in the 49th. I give you my personal assurance that the off-season will be put to very, very good use.
