Friend, my U.S. Senate race in Georgia is headed to a January 5 runoff. If I don’t win it, Mitch McConnell and the GOP will keep their Senate majority.

Georgia voters showed up in full force this fall, and SHATTERED all-time Democratic turnout records.

I even won the most votes of ANY Georgia Democrat in state history. But we can’t let up, friend — the stakes of this runoff election are astronomically high.

The Senate majority will come down to this race.

That means if we lose, Mitch McConnell will remain in power to block vital pandemic relief and let right-wing judges dismantle the Affordable Care Act, destroy Roe v. Wade , and eviscerate the Voting Rights Act.

Friend, we cannot afford two more years with McConnell running the Senate. And Georgia can’t afford another six years of failed leadership from my opponent, David Perdue.

Perdue wants to take away health care from his constituents in the middle of a pandemic. He compared COVID-19 to the common flu in public while in private he was buying stock in manufacturers of vaccines and medical equipment. And he sells access to his home for $7,500 corporate PAC checks, but hasn’t held a public town hall meeting in nearly six years.

Perdue must go.
