Dear Friend of the National Parks,
The results are in -- Joe Biden is projected to be our 46th president.
And that could mean big changes for the national parks we love.
Four years of relentless attacks on our public lands have left many of
our most treasured places in need of immediate relief. We must start
working right away to undo the damage that has been done to our parks
and the commonsense safeguards that protect them.
NPCA has a plan ready to make that happen.
Send a message to President-Elect Biden now and tell him to prioritize
national parks in his administration -- starting with the appointment
of a full-time Director for the National Park Service!

The National Park Service has been without a Director for the entirety
of the current administration. If President-Elect Biden is serious
about protecting national parks, he must start by immediately putting
someone at the helm.
But it goes beyond that crucial position. The current administration
began with an assault on national monuments, resulting in massive cuts
to Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante - and it
didn't stop there. Public lands surrounding parks have been
auctioned for oil and gas drilling with reckless speed. Protections
against air pollution like methane and haze have been relentlessly
rolled back.
This is where our work begins. Along with park champions from both
sides of the aisle, we will do whatever it takes to restore every park
protection that has been cut or weakened over the past four years.
It starts with the National Park Service. Tell President-Elect Biden
that national parks need leadership on Day One of his administration!

Even during these difficult years, you've shown time and again that
national park lovers know how to find common ground and win tough
fights. You secured a major victory with the recent, bipartisan Great
American Outdoors Act, helped win landmark victories to protect
Yellowstone grizzlies, and defended Canyonlands from drilling.
Send your message now, so we can be sure that the work of protecting
parks in the new administration will start off strong -- and never
slow down.

Thank you for everything you do for our parks.
Sincerely,
Theresa Pierno
