John,
We're so excited โ€“ we are now accepting nominations for the 2020 Tammy Baldwin Breakthrough Award! Who do you think should win this prestigious award? Name your nominee here! [[link removed]]
This annual award is given to an up-and-coming state or local LGBTQ elected official with a promising political career: someone who champions equality and lives to fight for the LGBTQ community. Tammy Baldwin began her career as an openly LGBTQ county supervisor, was elected to the state legislature, then the U.S. Congress, before becoming our first openly LGBTQ U.S. Senator. Tammy paved the way for so many LGBTQ leaders. Who do you think is the next Tammy Baldwin? [[link removed]]
Previous honorees include Florida state Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith, Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, North Carolina state Representative Deb Butler and Peruvian Congressman Alberto de Belaunde!
Your nominations will determine the panel of finalists โ€“ and then next Thursday you get to vote! Whoever gets the most votes will receive the 2020 Tammy Baldwin Breakthrough Award.
You can watch the winner receive this amazing award at the (now virtual - and free!) International LGBTQ Leaders Conference on December 3-5. The conference is the largest gathering of LGBTQ elected officials, advocates and leaders in the world. Grab your free ticket today! [[link removed]]
