Ten years ago, it would have been hard to imagine the historic wins we've made for securing fair districts across the country. In the 2010 elections, Republicans won the ability to draw more than half of all congressional districts. For the past decade, we've been living with the consequences of their gerrymandering, voter suppression, and obstruction.

But since we launched the NDRC in 2017, we have:

- Won 11 governors' races, including in deep-red states like Louisiana, Kentucky, and Kansas
- Flipped six state legislative chambers and broke super majorities in another three
- Passed bipartisan redistricting reforms in five states

Simply put, none of this would have been possible without the nearly 200,000 donors and volunteers who have supported this movement for fair maps.

Over the course of this cycle, the NDRC endorsed more than 250 down-ballot candidates and invested over $7 million in our effort to win state-level races. We also targeted states critical to the electoral college which were instrumental in delivering a win for Joe Biden.

But our work is not done -- in fact, the most important part of our mission lies ahead. Next year, the redistricting process will begin -- and in some states, it's already underway. This is the moment we have been working toward for the past four years. In addition to supporting newly elected Democrats in states where we've won a seat at the table, we will also need to combat Republican efforts to manipulate maps. We'll do what it takes to achieve fair maps during the redistricting process and restore our democracy -- whether that means rallying the grassroots or assuring accountability at the ballot box in 2021 and 2022.
