BOB LINN Core Values That Make Nations Great Last week, Marc Nuttle published a fascinating look at the American voting base as it stood firm against a barrage of leftist messaging. He spoke of core values which are unaffected by those who assault the most fundamental ideals we hold. The Nuttle Report reminded me of the core values of those who have shaped world history in a significant way. The inner, unshakable strength of those who have been guiding lights to mankind as a result of becoming devout followers of Christ. Principled men and women who base their compass on the timeless Word of God. In a few weeks, Americans will follow in the footsteps of our nation’s founders by celebrating Thanksgiving, a day devoted to acknowledging the grace and provision of our Creator. Our Puritan and our Pilgrim forefathers were examples of the steadfast character of those who are driven internally by the Divine hand of Christ and not the external elements of politics, culture, economics, or even the often-severe elements of nature. The American founders demonstrated more than extraordinary bravery and endurance against overwhelming odds. They demonstrated deeply grounded principles from which they did not waver. This idea of deeply imbedded principles which trump other points of pressure and the voices which surround us is what drew my interest in Marc Nuttle’s Report. America is the fruit of more than a thousand years of the development of Western Civilization. For over a thousand years, the influence of Christianity produced cultures and those cultures shaped nations. The civilization of the West was a progression of Christian core values that endured moments of impending darkness and doom. Just as America’s future hangs in the balance with the Marxist coup now in play to overturn the November 2020 election of our strongest pro-church, pro-America, and pro-life president in our lifetime, so the growth of Christianity in the West faced moments of apparent demise. In the wake of the German Reformation, Emperor Charles V sought to stamp out the Lutheran church and its leaders. Lutheran refugees, seeking asylum, fled to the city of Magdeburg, Germany where many pastors wrote and distributed pamphlets throughout the empire defending their divinely ordained rights of faith and speech. More than 200 pamphlets, printed by the thousands, found their way throughout Germany, England, Scotland, and France. In response, Emperor Charles V sent Duke Maurice of Saxony to lead a military assault on Magdeburg. This siege lasted for 13 months, from 1550 to 1551. Emperor Charles V saw 4,000 of his soldiers killed. In contrast, the Lutherans and others defending the city of Magdeburg had only 468 casualties. On November 4, 1551, the Emperor conceded. He no longer criminalized the Lutheran Church, allowing these very principled Lutherans the freedom to practice their faith. Because of their core Christian values, they were unshakable. These men paved the way for the further development of Christendom. Had it not been for the fearless and heroic pastors and churchmen of Magdeburg, the Reformation would not have developed and the Pilgrims and Puritans would not have founded our American Republic. In 1643, not quite 100 years later, the Parliament of England, in league with Scotland and Ireland, made a covenant with God called, Solemn League and Covenant. The final paragraph states this: “This covenant we make in the presence of the Almighty God … beseeching the Lord to strengthen us by his Holy Spirit for this end…to the glory of God, the enlargement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and the peace and tranquility of Christian kingdoms and commonwealths.” Noted scholar of this period of English history, Dr. Ian Gentles, points out that from Oliver Cromwell’s perspective, “all of English history had been merely a preparation for the events of 1640-53.” Certainly, these and many other events in Europe were a preparation for the founding of the American colonies and the growth of the most prosperous and powerful nation in world history. A nation which has covered the earth with its Christian missionary movements. My point is that history is moved by those whose lives have been grounded in the Word of God. These are people who do not flinch at the opposition they face as they do what they know is right and what God has called them to do. We are now in the midst of a battle for the future of this great nation. If the November election and its Trump victory of November 2020 is allowed to be stolen by the forces of evil and its Marxist puppeteers, Oklahoma’s future will be at risk. More than that, we are a nation at risk of entering many centuries of darkness. Those who have deeply rooted core values must resist the efforts of the media and the deep state to steal not just an election, but the American Republic. Republican Governors and Legislators nationwide must not be silent. Now is the time for all to voice support for the many on-going legal battles to maintain the integrity of the Whitehouse. _____________ JOIN US This coming Wednesday, OCPAC’s speaker will address the history of our founding as it relates to the many historic events of 2020. Be sure to join us. Remember, because of previous bookings of both COHBA and Embassy Suites, we are back at the Paramount for the next two weeks. Be sure to read my review of Marc Nuttle’s excellent analysis of the election below. __________________ TRUTH FOR AMERICA A mighty fortress is our God, a xxxxxx never failing And though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us we will not fear for God has willed His truth to triumph through us. ~ Martin Luther, Founder of German Reformation and founder of the Lutheran Church From Luther's hymn, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God May we fulfill our calling as God's vice-regents of the earth. May we be faithful during our time of occupation. ~Genesis 1 REVIEW Marc Nuttle's Wall of Core Values by Bob Linn Last week, the Associated Press spoke of “Rebuilding the Blue Wall.” The “Blue Wall” is a reference to the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. These are the three states that the Democrat party historically depends upon for electoral votes in a Presidential election. President Trump cracked this impenetrable wall in 2016. These states have yet to be settled in 2020. Last week’s Nuttle Report published an article titled The Wall of Core Values. Marc spoke of another blue wall phenomenon that has made itself very apparent through the course of the 2020 election. A wall that national pundits fail to analyze or even acknowledge. It is a wall developed by the conviction of every citizen. A wall of deeply-seated core values. Marc noted that progressives raised and spent massive sums of money to influence elections state-by-state. Yet, in some of the states subject to this barrage of partisan advertisements, voters perplexed the prognosticators. They cast ballots in opposition to a tsunami of rhetoric which dominated the political ads. Somehow, this enormous ad campaign by the political left seemed to have no impact. THE NUTTLE REPORT EXPLAINS In key battleground states like Florida, massive amounts of money were spent to pummel the electorate with the message that President Trump was unqualified to be President of the United States. Michael Bloomberg spent $100 million of his own money to defeat Donald Trump. Marc explained that we won’t know for some time how much total money was actually spent. Early estimates have indicated that $1 billion in ads flooded the airwaves. The hope of the anti-Trump campaign was that repeating their leftist message early and often would influence voters. Yet, in spite of this media blitz, Florida was carried by President Trump in greater numbers than in 2016. Nuttle’s report notes that in Dade County, particularly in Miami, Vice President Biden performed poorly in the African American and Hispanic communities. Early returns indicate that 23% of African American males voted for President Trump. Forty-seven percent of the Hispanic community supported the President. Disappointed liberals claim voters didn’t understand the issues. Marc was compelled to ask a couple of questions here. Are they saying that even with $1 billion, they couldn’t communicate the right message? Or, are they making a derogatory comment about minority communities and their ability to think through the issues? He points out that it is beyond progressives’ comprehension that, just possibly, people specifically reject progressive philosophy. Many of us find it quite plausible that minority men were thinking clearly when they voted for President Trump. It seems quite natural that they voted for President Trump because they sought an environment of family values that progressives deny, ridicule, and ignore. CORE ISSUES I have written before in the OCPAC newsletter about the clear understanding many in the minority community have about the paths provided them by our free enterprise system. Minorities own businesses. Family-owned businesses require the free enterprise system. These businesses require less, not more regulation to survive and prosper. And, of course, it does not help when the Democrat-endorsed Black Lives Matter burns them down! President Trump has spoken strongly about returning education to the authority of the parents. Education entails family values and parental control of their child’s education is important to minorities. Under the current educational system, many Americans, minorities included, feel ostracized and minimized for being committed in their faith. ENTER THE POLITICAL OCEAN Of Pollster Gary Lawrence The meat of Marc’s article is found in his reference to the work of Gary Lawrence. In the 1970s and 80s, Gary Lawrence, a noted and accomplished national opinion pollster, illustrated by a graphic image how the American public is impacted by issues. He described the process metaphorically as a person’s political ocean. FIRST LEVEL Current Events The first level is surface waves. The surface is at times made turbulent by the winds of current events. Like natural disasters, these events pass with time. However, the turbulence may extend deeper, impacting the second level, “the issues of the times.” SECOND LEVEL This second level involves the totality of issues in the political marketplace. It includes every debate at every level of politics. It includes fiscal policy, racial issues, climate change, economics and free enterprise, education, and freedom of religion. This level includes the role of government in each of these areas. Opinions may change in this level, however, slowly over time. Ideals and philosophies interact in this level. THIRD LEVEL Core Values It is the third level (core values) that is reasonably constant. We often neglect the role of core values in the basic foundation of society. Core values seldom change dramatically. They are not subject to the surface winds of current events, but instead, are embedded in our DNA Marc noted that core values are instinctive to our nature. Some we learned by the culture of our upbringing. Our mentors shaped us. Our family traditions were our foundation. These core values are who we are as individuals. A person is not easily persuaded to abandon, alter, or substantially change their core values. This is why progressives can spend $1 billion in Florida, $100 million in a South Carolina, or $87 million in Maine and the vote is not significantly influenced. No matter how many times an ad is run, the ultimate electoral decision is always bounced off the wall of core values. As I have pointed out many times in the OCPAC newsletter, hope for America’s future lies in her pulpits and her pews. Noah Webster, author of the first American dictionary, said that no civil government of a republican form can endure unless Christianity is pervasive in the culture. John Adams was the second President of the United States. He said, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” America is at a crossroads. I thank Marc Nuttle for the role he has played in its history and the role he continues to play. I appreciate the vigilance of our OCPAC readers as well. Purchase his book, Moment of Truth here. In 2016, 21 of those races went uncontested. In 2018, 20 went uncontested. This year, Oklahoma's 2020 fall elections presented us with 126 races. Of those, 71 Republican seats were uncontested! We added 5 additional conservative seats to the house giving us the largest republican majority in the house in Oklahoma history and we held the senate to just 9 seats held by Democrats! We turned Oklahoma county solid Red again by winning that county for Trump which he lost in 2016. We took back the 5th congressional district. All put together, 2020 represents the largest Victory in the history of our party. And, we raised in excess of 1.3 million dollars! It’s epic, it’s big, and in Trump vernacular, it is huge! It can only be by the power of Jesus Christ that Oklahoma remains a beacon of liberty in the United States! PRIOR WEEK ENTRIES of Continued Importance ENEMIES WITHIN THE CHURCH By Bob Linn Pastor Cary Gordon narrates this soon-to-be-released film exposing the Marxist infiltration into America's churches, seminaries, and Christian missionary movements. Those involved in the film include Trevor Loudon and Curtis Bowers. This film exposes shocking developments throughout the entire breadth of 21st century Christendom. Protestants, Catholics, and the Orthodox church have been infiltrated. Our beloved evangelistic organizations have seen wolves in sheep's clothing rise to the very top. The head of the Russian Orthodox church is a KGB agent. The Pope is a Marxist. The evangelical church has been deeply penetrated. That penetration goes to the very top of institutions we thought were rock solid. This includes the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Southern Baptist Church, the former Campus Crusade for Christ (now, CRU), and many others. The evidence is iron clad. I was on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ and worked with founder and President, Dr. Bill Bright. Sadly, I have been made aware that Marxist concepts have become pervasive at their national conferences over the past few years. It is both clear and stunning. Marxist language is now a part of their programs on campuses throughout the nation. I've also spent many years in the Southern Baptist Church. In addition, my wife and I founded a PCA church in our living room many years ago. In spite of my close relationship with all these institutions, the evidence of their fall from Godliness is overwhelming. In the near future, I plan to focus on the developments within the organization I once knew as Campus Crusade for Christ. It is important to expose these enemies who have crept into Christendom. These have entered our Christian institutions in an effort to destroy the Church. The "gospel" they promote will bear no fruit. Marxist ideology mixed with Bible verses will produce neither salvation nor the health, peace, and prosperity of civilizations. Marxist concepts like social justice, critical race theory and the myths inherent in the concept of "white privilege" are ungodly, contrary to all of the Scriptures, and represent evil and destructive weapons designed to destroy the church, the family, and societies. They are drenched in narcissism and hatred. These ideas, now permeating most of our seminaries and academic institutions (beginning in elementary school), will soon destroy the nation if we do not expose them for the evil they represent. PLEASE HELP US FINISH THIS PROJECT BY CONTRIBUTING HERE. $50,000 is needed to complete the film. Consider the opportunity prayerfully. Thanks! Watch the Trailer here. ARCHIVES ...
