Register Today for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day
International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day takes place on Saturday, November 21. Also known as Survivor Day, it is an annual event in which survivors of suicide loss come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experience.
This year, in advance of Survivor Day, we’re excited to share the following social media events for suicide loss survivors.
At 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 12, we will be hosting an Instagram Live conversation in partnership with The Trevor Project on “Loss, Connection, and Healing in the LGBTQ Community.” The event will be hosted by Dr. Doreen Marshall, AFSP Vice President of Mission Engagement, and Michelle Giordano, Vice President of Digital Crisis Services at The Trevor Project. Please join us on Instagram @afspnational.
At 2 pm ET on Wednesday, November 18, we will be participating in a Twitter chat on the subject of “Healing After a Suicide Loss” in partnership with To Write Love on Her Arms, TAPS, and the Born This Way Foundation. Please follow along on Twitter using hashtag #SurvivorDay.
If you’re a survivor of suicide loss, you never have to feel alone.
